A recent announcement has revealed that the second annual Ride for Jarren will be held on June 21. The start location will be Collin County Polaris (formerly Family Power Sports), which is located at 2110 North Central Expressway in McKinney, Texas. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and kickstands go up at 7:00 p.m. The ride will end at J.W. Spain Athletic Complex, located at 400 Merit Street in Farmersville, Texas. The registration fee is $20.00 per bike. A barbeque dinner will follow ($10.00 per plate) and a live band will be performing.

Jarren Wayne McTee is a six-year-old boy who suffered oxygen deprivation during a traumatic delivery and is battling many obstacles in his young life. Due to the lack of oxygen at birth he has hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Jarren is working on being able to sit up on his own, talk, and develop enough muscle control to hold his head up. Jarren uses a Dynavox motion-activated device for communicating as he learns to read and communicate at Tatum Elementary School. Jarren loves baseball and was recently successful at running the bases for the first time with his walker.
The Ride for Jarren helps pay for medical needs, therapy, and medical equipment.
